Dr. Shashi Tiwari received the B.A. (1963) and M.A. (1965) degrees in Sanskrit (University topper with 7 academic Gold Medals) from the University of Lucknow, India. She received her Ph.D. (1968) from the same university in the field of Vedic and Sanskrit studies.

Research Interests: The Vedas, Vedic Religion and Philosophy. Indian Philosophy, Ancient Indian Culture, Indian Festivals, Indian Mythology, Sanskrit Etymology, Sanskrit Epics, Sanskrit Classical Literature.
